Optional Visual Record

Progress Photo Privacy

This disclosure describes how optional Royal Assessment progress photos are stored, displayed, and deleted.

Effective September 10, 2026

Always Optional

Progress photos are optional. Declining or deleting photos does not block a Royal Assessment, change your Origin Frame or Path, reduce XP, or prevent phase-readiness review.

Private by Default

Photos are stored in a non-public Supabase Storage bucket under an account-owned path. Row Level Security restricts object access to the authenticated owner. Ascendance uses short-lived signed URLs rather than public links to display photos.

How Photos Are Used

Photos are used to let you privately review your visual progress. They are not used for advertising, public profiles, facial recognition, artificial-intelligence training, sale, or sharing with other beta testers without a separate explicit choice and permission.

Protecting Your Privacy

  • Upload only photos of yourself that you are comfortable storing online.
  • Avoid including another person, identifying documents, addresses, or sensitive surroundings.
  • Use a private device and sign out when using a shared browser.
  • Remember that anyone with access to your unlocked device or account may be able to view your photos.

Viewing, Downloading, and Deleting

You may view and delete individual photos from Royal Assessment. Download any image you wish to keep before deleting it or the account. Account deletion permanently removes stored progress-photo objects and cannot be undone.

Security Limits

Ascendance applies private Storage, authenticated access, owner-only policies, and limited-duration links, but no online system can guarantee absolute security. Report suspected unauthorized access immediately.
